The WebProNews eBusiness Directory is a great place to gain quality resources for your eBusiness needs. To help you find our user-submitted resources in a better fashion, we’ve sorted these resources into quality eBusiness-related categories. One of the categories that I have considered creating is “Virtual Assistants.” I have received various virtual assistant-related submissions lately, and I have also received a few category suggestions on this topic within the past few months.

If you are unsure of what a virtual assistant (or virtual assistant company) is, I have provided a sentence from its Wikipedia article that best describes its function:

A virtual assistant (typically abbreviated to VA, also called a virtual office assistant) is an entrepreneur who provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients from a home office.

The reason why I am on the fence about adding this category is that (at times) it can be quite a controversial topic within eBusiness circles. The reason why it is controversial is because many businesses utilize their resources having an in-house assistant rather than having an “off-site” assistant, and many do not think a virtual assistant would be a necessary asset to their company; however, many eBusinesses use virtual assistants as a way of outsourcing and developing relationships with organizations outside of their own company.

What is your opinion of our directory including a Virtual Assistants category? Be sure to leave your feedback below in our comments section.
