As we all know, Facebook, along with the words “social media,” and “social networking” have become household terms and have now become part of our daily living. However, many of us don’t think of Facebook as just starting out as “the little engine that could,” a small tiny college-only network that grew bigger than the sum of its parts.
Just recently, Sony released a trailer for The Social Network, a movie that shows the evolution of the social networking giant, and all of the legal obsticles that Mark Zuckerberg (Founder/CEO of Facebook) encountered to make his small site a world-wide success. I have provided an embedded video of this trailer below for your convenience.
The Social Network movie airs in theaters on October 1st and shows Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg and the well-known Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker.
Last week, Chris Crum (Content Coordinator for WebProNews) published an article that elaborates on an interview between ABC’s Diane Sawyer and Zuckerberg (along with a video), stating that he has no intention of seeing The Social Network. Crum also discusses an interview that happened between Kirkpatrick, author of The Facebook Effect, and NPR (National Public Radio) correspondant Guy Raz.
